When not directing music, he loves woodworking, hiking, watching his beloved Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his family. Adjunct Professor of Choral Music | UCO Choirs

Keegan Rose is the Director of Worship and Music at First United Methodist Church in Stillwater and serves as an adjunct professor of choral music at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he conducts the University Choir and Cantilena. He holds a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from UCO. Keegan finds deep fulfillment in inspiring singers to reach new musical heights and in helping communicate meaningful messages through music. He is especially grateful to God for the gift of music and for his wife, whose love and support sustain him in all things. He also extends heartfelt thanks to the other conductors and the collaborative pianists whose efforts made this performance of Carmina Burana possible.

Director | Edmond Youth Chorus

Leah McDonald teaches elementary music at Heritage Elementary and is Elementary Music Facilitator for Edmond Public Schools. She is the chair of the Great Expectations committee at Heritage (a GE Model School) and is also active in her school’s leadership committee. She has previously served OkMEA as President, Elementary Vice President, Children’s All State Chorus and Circle the State with Song State Co- Chair, and regional Co-Chair for Circle the State with Song. Leah conducts Edmond Youth Chorus, a group of 4th-8th grade auditioned students from throughout the metro area. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education and a Masters’ degree in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance, as well as graduate training in both Kodaly and Orff pedagogies from OU and SWOSU. Leah is the 2007 inaugural recipient of the Oklahoma Fine Arts Educator Award, 2004 Edmond Teacher of the Year, and finalist for 2004 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. In 2014 she was named “OkMEA Exemplary Teacher” and was recently named the 2025 Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence “Medal for Excellence in Elementary Teaching” recipient. As a professional musician, Leah is a choral staff member at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Oklahoma City. Leah’s spouse Kevin is also an active educator, teaching both English and Band in Edmond Public Schools.
