Soprano Soloist | Danielle Herrington
Dr. Danielle L Herrington is an artist-scholar, researching, teaching, and performing in Oklahoma City. As a lyric coloratura soprano, Danielle interprets a range of roles, including Handel’s Rodelinda , Belinda ( Dido and Aeneas ), Serpina ( La serva padrona ), La Musique ( Les plaisirs de Versailles ), Donna Anna ( Don Giovanni ), Josephine ( HMS Pinafore ), Adele ( Die Fledermaus ) as well as many newly commissioned contemporary roles. She is an avid concert soloist, from JS Bach and Vivaldi to Beethoven and Verdi, while her recent recital programming highlights creative women and persons of color historically marginalized. As a performative musicologist, she is the Assistant Professor of Musicology at the University of Central Oklahoma. Her scholarship approaches music as embodied and lived experience, with specific investigations in eighteenth- and twenty-first century opera, culture, philosophy, and commissions. She has internationally and nationally presented and published on these topics. Danielle holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Oklahoma as well as two Masters of Music (Opera Performance; Music History/Literature) both from Wichita State University. www.danielleherrington.com / @elleherrington.
Tenor Soloist | Ethan Snowden
Ethan Snowden is a tenor based in Oklahoma City. Ethan received his Bachelors in Music Education in 2016 and a Masters in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy in 2021 from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has been seen in such roles as Normanno (Lucia di Lammermoor), Count Almaviva (Barber of Seville), and Ferrando (Cosí fan tutte). Ethan has also been seen as a chorister in local chamber orchestras, Tactus, and was a featured soloist with UCO as a part of their 2022 presentation of Haydn’s Paukenmesse . Ethan also works closely with Painted Sky Opera as part of their education programs.
