Tageos Opens RFID Manufacturing Site In North Carolina Tageos has opened its new U.S. headquarters in Fletcher, North Carolina, marking the beginning of a fully expanded manufacturing presence in the United States. With a current global annual capacity of nine billion RFID inlays and tags, the RFID company can already pro- duce more than two billion units per year in the heart of the American market. By the end of 2024, Fletcher will have expanded its capacity by another two billion units to a total of more than four billion units per year. The new site will enable the company to produce RAIN RFID (UHF) and HF/NFC products with the highest ARC-certified quality and performance in high volumes.
Reproflex3, Cramlington, Northumberland, has been rec- ognized as a Northern Powerhouse Export Champion by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) following its continued expansion and investment within the flexible packaging industry globally. As a UK Export Champion, the company will offer prac- tical advice to other businesses in the Northern Power- house region who also wish to expand overseas. The Export Champion community is designed to help UK businesses think in global terms and contributes to one of the Prime Minister’s priorities to grow the UK economy by promoting the benefits of exporting. Reproflex3 is an interna- tional prepress packaging and flexo- graphic solutions agency. Its services and products relate to every touch- point in the packaging development journey, from design to final print production. Today the company oper- ate sites in the UK, Dubai, India and New Zealand and de- ploys its flexographic print technologies through technical partnerships in the USA and mainland Europe. On opening day, the company introduced itself as a new corporate citizen in Henderson County with a rib- bon-cutting ceremony. Local, regional and state officials and partners who have supported the project from the very beginning were invited to join Tageos’ employees at the new location to celebrate the grand opening in an in- formal setting. The new facility at the Quality Point site in Fletcher houses sales, administration and customer service offic- es as well as 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space, equipped with production lines for the latest technology in RAIN RFID (UHF) and HF/NFC inlays. Around 60 peo- ple are already employed in Fletcher, and the investments made amount to “several million dollars,” according to Ta- geos and the local authorities.
