New this year, our very rst Riverine Walk will be guided by Kirk Marske of Renew Moline. Hear the latest information on the Spiegel Building and other exciting downtown Moline projects during his presentation, “The Past, Present, and Future of Moline Centre’s Riverfront”. Wrapping our Summer Education program, “This is a Farm”, is guided by Sonja Kinser of Tapestry Farms. In this new Riverine Walk, you’ll learn about innovative, self- contained Freight Farms as you tour a 320 sq. ft. hydroponics farm!
If giant birds get you excited, you won’t want to miss the popular Channel Cat Talks that are returning this year, including Dave Murcia’s “Raptors Along the River” and Tim Murphy’s “Quad City Pelican”. Our Channel Cat Talks will wrap up the season with Anthony Heddlesten & Josh Hendrix’s “Gongoozling with USACE – 200 years of operations, maintenance, and inspections along the Mississippi River”. On this river cruise, you’ll ‘lock’ & learn and help celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the rst regulation to start cleaning up the Mississippi River.
