The muppets in our SA major crime department have had for 139 days this bone we found with shovels and rakes (and good intel) on a site they searched a decade ago with expert forensic teams and equipment that they say they still cannot determine if it is human or animal. We now have multiple forensic experts, the most qualified in SA (Australia) giving us great confidence it is human, juvenile and pelvic bone. 1d Jeff Dakers
With my own cold case where new evidence and multiple witnesses observed Milat in the vicinity for Docherty case with one witness who was a youngster at the time observed Milat with his vehicle reversed up on a sand dune then appeared on top of the sand dune with a shovel on his shoulder. This witness would cover costs of any excavation. He was interviewed by detectives some a few years ago .All I got was they were busy with other cases. As a former member of NSW Police not nearly enough action very disappointed. Stop with the excuses. 2d Graeme Crowley I DO support our police. A failure they all share is oversight. They hate any suggestion they could do things di ff erently or better, and god forbid that someone wants to monitor them. 2d Graeme Crowley spot on. I support them also, it’s a shame it is going to take a Parliamentary Inquiry to occur because they didn’t want to meet and discuss. Not to mention 2 failed attempts at a LECC investigation. 2d Searching-For Louise-Bell Graeme Crowley oversight being an understatement. They dont have enough people, the funding, theres a 2 year backlog with forrensics, its a huge mess. Its embarrassing how bad it really is. 7h Graeme Crowley Searching-For Louise-Bell all the more reason to welcome an inquiry where they can ask for assistance. But dare not criticise them please. I cant speak for NSW police but QPS will NEVER admit or acknowledge they made a mistake. They are always right, even when they are wrong 7h Dave Kehlet Astounding hubris. Why do families of LTMP believe that trained muppets from the unsolved homicide and missing persons unit would achieve a better outcome than members of the public given information locked in their dilapidated files - is a better question to be posed. Anyone caught in the horrendous limbo of LTMP knows the answer. 2d Author Chris D'Arcy Dave Kehlet that’s a very good question. However NSW does not have a Missing Persons Unit anymore. The closed it down for investigations and now is known as the Missing Persons Register, yet, when questioned, they have no idea of the numbers of missing persons, nor how many have been found alive or deceased. Seriously, how can you manage something if you have no idea what it is your meant to manage. 2d Author Chris D'Arcy
