Makingmemories at theMother Lode Fair As a child growing up in

When the big day finally came, the excite- ment was too much to bear. The smell of corn dogs, sounds of children giggling and the long days in the livestock barns with friends were the best.We would ride the Zipper, eat cotton candy and end the big day watching the fireworks show from the Ferris wheel. I still remember when Sawyer Brown, Sylvia and ChelyWright sang in the arena. Oh the sweet memories! This year, as your Mother Lode Fair

Board president, I wanted to bring back some of the good old days so that you and your kids or grandkids can make some of the same sweet memories. The 2019 Mother Lode Fair is packed full of fun, excitement, vendors and exhibits. From the Fourth of July free concert to the smashing destruc- tion derby on Sunday, there is something for everyone from start to finish. Come see the livestock shows. Come see the buildings packed with vendors. Come

see the amazing photography, quilts and canned goods. Come learn how to milk a goat. Come eat food of every kind. Come ride the Ferris wheel and watch not one but three nights of fireworks. Come see an old friend or make a new one. It’s all at the 2019 Mother Lode Fair. “How Sweet It Is” Ronald Hamilton, president, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors

Tuolumne County, we had two reasons for being excited for school to be out for the year. First, it meant camping and swimming in our beauti- ful national forest. Second, it meant the Mother Lode Fair

was right around the corner. For weeks we would get our feature booths, photography and animals ready for the grand event.
