It started as a secret, but you liked it so much we had to keep it! Guests age 21 and older can find a tropical-inspired escape high above the hustle and bustle of the Fair in our speakeasy. Enjoy Hawaiian-inspired pupus and specialty cocktails with a tiki twist!
What’s New in Brew This year, you have two HOPportunities to savor suds created especially for the San Diego County Fair in collaboration with San Diego’s top breweries.
Ballast Point Brewing’s Field of Hoppies
Mike Hess Brewing’s The Wizard of Haze
This hoppy Pale Ale offers aromas of summer melon and herbs, with a soft caramel sweetness just perfect for a warm summer day at the Fair. Take a sip or two, and you’ll want to tiptoe through the tulips, or better yet, the poppies!
San Diego and IPAs go together like Dorothy and Toto, so Mike Hess brewed up a hazy IPA just perfect for balmy, beachy nights at the Fair. What’s behind the curtain, er, under the lid? A hearty blend of Midwest barley, wheat, and oats, courageously loaded with a lion’s
share of Idaho 7, Strata and Citra hops. Our brains hurt just thinking about all of the tropical citrus flavors that will hit your senses like a team of flying monkeys. Try it at our Wizard of Haze Bar, and then pick up a 6-pack at your Albertsons or Vons grocery store.
Happy Hour Weekdays from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. excluding July 4 : $2.00 off all draft beer, house wine and call cocktails at all beer gardens and Grandstand Bars, 17 Hands Restaurant & Cantina, Ballast Point Jockey Box and Paddock Tavern.
