A TWISTER OF THRILLS Thrill seekers will find more than 80 rides to choose from with the Crazy Mouse roller coaster, Big Wheel Ferris Wheel and Sky Ride consistently topping the charts each summer as most popular. But the variety is vast and the quality is tops. Unlike most fairs, the San Diego County Fair hand-picks each and every ride you see, creating what is known as an “independent midway.” The result is a midway packed with equipment that rivals, and even surpasses, many amusement parks. Thrill seekers will find two new rides in the FunZone this year. The Titan towers 17 stories tall, ramps up to 60 mph and pulls 4Gs. This pendulum-style ride made its U.S. debut in February and is the tallest traveling booster ride in the country! The Endeavour is an open-air suspended passenger vehicle giving riders 3G acceleration while flying 60 feet through the air at 25 miles per hour. Nestled among the rides and roller coasters, you’ll be challenged by darts, water guns, basketball hoops and more in our gallery of games. The rewards can be great—you’ll have bragging rights as you carry a giant stuffed animal down the Avenue!
Pay One Price Ride Days: $38 On Wednesdays and Thursdays in June, purchase a wristband for unlimited Fun Zone and Kids Zone rides until 8:00 p.m. Ride wristbands must be purchased and redeemed by 6:00 p.m.
