THE HOLY SPIRIT The Spirit quickens, or makes alive the dead soul, John 6:63. The Spirit abides forever with the believer, John 14:16, 17. The Spirit dwells in the believer, 1 Cor. 6:19. The.Spirit testifies of Christ, John 15:26. The Spirit is the only source,of power in our testimony and service for the Lord Jesus, Acts 1:8. The Spirit is at once the seal, marking us as God's own, and the earnest, giving us the enjoyment of God’s love, 2 Cor. 1:22. The Spirit takes hold of our infirmities and enables us to bear them, Rom. 8:26. —Selected. THE BELIEVER’S SINS They are removed from him, Ps. 103:12. They are cast behind God’s back, Isa. 38:17. They are blotted out, Isa. 44:22. They are cast into the depths of the sea, Mic. 7:19. They are thoroughly forgiven, past, present, and future; for they were all future when Christ died upon the cross, Col. 2:13.
