ChristmasisNear AND don’t forget that Books as presents— “Best” Books will be remembered the whole year through

Christian men and women praised God all their lives for the blessed experience into which in earliest childhood they were led in Hammond’s meetings. When the Pennsylvania State Sabbath School Association was planning the greatest State-wide Decision Day ever un dertaken and which had wonderful results; we had the personal counsel of Dwight L. Moody. With deep feeling over the fewer and fewer converts in his meetings he said impressively, “If I had my life to live over again I would devote it to winning children to Christ.’’ We speak here of actual experiments in child conversion. If our present-day Sunday School leaders had continued these children’s meetings and Decision Days instead of be ing fascinated by closest psychological ramblings about children how different would be our boys and girls now! Dr. Roads is right. Matthew Henry was converted at four years. We can bear testimony to the fact that many ehild converts have made the best Christians. Test it any time in any large gathering and find out. “Suffer little children to come unto me’’ were the words of the Master, and they are still His command. This has been demonstrated over and over again in the last two years in the Week Day Home Bible Classes for boys and girls, and any church that believes God’s Word can prove it at any time they wish. Another thing is also true,—children make the most en thusiastic soul-seekers and soul-winners. They work in a natural, logical way. Why not give it a trial? —T. C. H.
