Protesters took to the streets of Hawkesbury last Saturday, March 30, in front of MPP Amanda Simard’s office, to take a stand against the provincial government’s reform of programs and funding for autistic children. Simard was present to support the demonstration. “It is essential that funding be based on needs/evidence and that there is no age discrimination,” said Simard. “There must be another way to address the waiting list.
