The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

YEAR 2 REFLECTION ARJUN & ISLA YEAR 2 SRC

Hi everyone, our names are Arjun and Isla and we are your Year 2 SRC students for 2023. We have had a very exciting year so far, with lots of fun activities and excursions. We went to Westgarthtown on a bus with Katie and Liam which was fun. We also had our whole school athletics day which was super fun. We got to go in different events and games and cheer on our friends and dress up in our house colours. It was such a fun day. We are really excited to organise Crazy Hair Day for Term 2. This day will help raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and all the money SRC raises will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are both looking forward to coming to school with crazy hair and to see what colours everyone puts in their hair.

YEAR 11 REFLECTION PAIGE & NASH YEAR 11 SRC

Year 11 so far has been an eventful yet stressful ride; with getting used to the new timetable, new workload and the introduction of SACs. Students are looking forward to having the midterm break then starting Unit 2 next term, which leads us to the start of our final year of our schooling lives. Midterm exams are in Week 8 which means we have been working hard on revising for the score we all want in the end. Our teachers have been trying to get us ahead with finishing Unit 1 and 2 early, so we get started with Year 12 work and what it will be like for us. On Wednesday 24th of May, we held our official Whole School Athletics Day, with all year levels dressing up in their house colours and cheering on the team to win the House Cup. The Year 11’ s who attended participated in events and helped out with running them as well. We are looking forward to overcoming new challenges, in creating new memories and gaining new experiences for our futures.
