To success; both materially and spiritually. 5; To serve Him at home and abroad. 6. To «Church, Sunday School, and fellowship with His saints. Heb. 10:25. . , 7. To victory and triumph at last; “ Leadeth us to triumph” R. V. 2 Cor. 2:14. 5. To our Heavenly home— “ through the valley of the shadow of death,” or when Christ ,comes, to lead the entire Church Heavenward. THAT BLESSED HOPE This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven-—Acts 1:11. He that shall come, will come, and will not tarry—Heb. 10:37. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away— 1 Pet. 5:4. Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh—Matt.. 24:44. Be ye also patient, stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh—Jas. 5:8. Little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming-^-1 John 2:28. Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure— 1 John 3:3. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the seo- ond time without sin unto salvation—Heb. 9:28. So that ye come behind in no gift, waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ— 1 Cor. 1:7. Every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him—- Rev. 1:7. Death is swallowed up in victory— 1 Cor. 15:54. Holding forth the word of life, that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain— Phil. 2:16. Our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ— Phil. 3:20. and be caught away from us, as Philip of old was from the Ethiopian; but He who ever watches where the sparrow falls is always ready to give our hearts the fullest assurance that His Word shall accomplish His purpose, and in His own due time He will call all His blood-purchased ones from the four quarters of the earth and gather them to Himself in the air,— So we go on not knowing, We would not if we might, We’d rather walk with Him in the dark Than go alone in the light. Patient waiting for Christ— 2 Thess. 3:5. Even so, Come, Lord Jesus—-Rev. 22:20.

There is ONE TEMPLE, which is to be the scene of the greatest sacrilege ever committed in a holy place, and that temple will be the rebuilt one in which the abomina­ tion of the Antichrist will be set up (Dan. 9:27; Matt. 24:15). 6. There is ONE THRONE upon which Jehovah has said a descendant of David is to sit for ever (2 Sam. 7:10-17; Luke 1:31-33), and therefore peculiarly honoured and magnified by Him. 7. And there is ONE MAN in whom all God’s plans center, and He is a JewS- namely, Christ, for He is dis­ tinctly said to be of the Seed of David (2 Tim 2 :8), of Israel (Rom. 9 :5), and the Son of Abraham and David (Matt. 1 :1). Introductory: Christ is the Head of His members, the Shepherd of His sheep, the Lord of our lives, and therefore has the right to lead us in His ways and He will. I. HOW Does Christ Lead His People? 3. By His ministers,-or servants— “ under-shepherds.”. ■’ 4. By pressing circumstances, causing us to move as He leads. 5. By promoting our minds and hearts to right conclu­ sions. 6. By opportunities to do good, leading us to do His will. 7. By prayer and fellowship with Christian people. n . WHEN Does Christ Lead His People? 1. When we are willing to be led of Him. 2. When we are at loss to know what to do. 3. When we seek His guidance for the right way. Psa. 61: 1 - 2 . those wonderful words “ I am the Resurrection and the Life,” from the lips of Him who spoke as never man spake, there went up a glad note of gratitude that the doors of Biola Hall were still open to ring out the message of the empty tomb, the risen Lord and the opened heaven to all who, labored and heavy laden, pass our doors. Who can estimate the value of that life-giving word of the Living God? The little lad may soon be swallowed up once more in the great city’s stoop and cramp of daily toll, 1.
