(Continued from page 658).; Sir Samuel Hoare in the luridness of his picture of what an air attack of the future will mean. He foretold the following casualties caused by a force of the size of the French force unless there was an adequate protective force : “Twelve thousand casualties in the first raid. “ Ten thousand casualties in the second raid. “ Between 8,060 and 9,000 ‘certain and inevitable’ casualties daily for an indefinite period. “ If the attacking force devoted itself to incendiarism, the whole of London could be set on fire.” The possibility of such a raid is staggering enough, and goes to prove the cruelty and savagery that lies latent in the human heart and brain. How such a possibility evokes the cry, “ Come, Lord Jesus, and make it im possible for such a condition of things to ensue.” —Prophetic News. BEWARE OF THE RED BEE’S STING “How many of you have ever heard the buzzing of the RED BEE? How many would recognize it from other buzzing sounds? How many of you have seen the tragedy of one of your good American friends being stung, by the Red Bee? “ Swarming from the different hot beds of Radicalism, the Red Bee has buzzed its. way into more mediums of our daily life than one would at first believe. Its buzzing is at times so soft and smooth, and musical that we Americans must be oh constant guard. An American who loses his head or stops to temporize will feel the poison sting of the Red Bee. Watch for it-— and Crush it.” . We are indebted to an interested friend for the above. The subtle way in which “ Red propaganda” is pene trating the different institutions of our country, we quite agree, may be. lik ened to the swarming of poisonous insects. If this buzzing of radicalism were properly recognized and its source fully understood, many, with out question, would not have permit ted themselves do, come under its in fluence.— Selected. , The American Christian Relief Mis sion was formed in 1922 to carry on Relief Work among the suffering .Christians of ; Central and Eastern Europe, the Christian Testimony of the Jews of Philadelphia, and the Rus sia Evangelization Society of New York most helpfully co-operating, and the treasurers of these two societies giving their services voluntarily to re ceive and forward relief funds to the field. The greater portion of relief funds was sent to Russia during the first year, as the conditions there were very serious at the time. For the past few months the principal portion of relief: funds has gone to Germany, where the emergency now seems ¡greatest. THE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN RELIEF MISSION

“ Biola Best Books” Winning Childhood to Christ “And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them— * ‘ 'The aim of Sunday School Evangelism is the production of Christian dis- cipleship. A child of ten won for Christ is worth more in the extension of the Kingdom than an adult converted at 50.“ “ It is pitiful to think how often we neglect the children and then labour with agonizing prayer and heroic appeal for the conversion of men and women. Exerpts from Plans for Sunday School Evangelism Frank L. Brown “ Hand Picked” “ Hand picked fruit counts for more than windfalls— and when it com es to winning souls in the Sunday School, the Pastor is across • the street, the Superintendent is at arm ’s length, but the teacher is face to face.” Be Sure to Read How Can I Lead M y Pupils to Christ Edward Leigh Pel, D.
