Why Join the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs FINE ®
Rotary Clubs: People of Action Rotary members are people of action who identify and address community issues, working together to find the best course of action. No project is too big or too small for us. We tackle global challenges like eradicating polio, providing clean water, and promoting peace, while also making local communities better. Our diverse membership includes neighbors, business professionals, and community leaders from all backgrounds. Local Impact in Southwest Florida Recently celebrating its 47th anniversary, The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs actively improves literacy, addresses food insecurity and ensures foster children receive school supplies and clothing. A significant recent project in 2025 involved donating $30,000 to build a facility at the Wonder Gardens, a nearly 90-year-old Everglades animal sanctuary and botanical gardens in Bonita Springs, to build a safe, weatherproof facility for children’s programs. Annual Rotary Christmas Tree Tent Relocated After 36 years on Bonita Beach Road, the annual Rotary Christmas Tree Tent is relocating to Downtown Bonita Springs at 10540 Ragsdale. Starting Friday, November 28, more than 500 Fraser Fir and Noble trees, along with wreaths and poinsettias, will be sold at the intersection of the Ragsdale Street & Old 41 Roundabout—just south of Sugarshack and behind For Heaven Shakes Ice Cream Shop.
Since its founding in 1978, the club has distributed more than $3 million to local organizations focusing on education, children, the elderly, food insecurity, and disaster relief. Key beneficiaries include the Bonita Springs Assistance Office, Arts Bonita, YMCA, and Meals of Hope. The club also provides scholarships for local high school graduates. Rotary’s Global Impact The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs is part of Rotary International, a global association of community and business leaders. Rotary has more than 1.4 million members in over 35,000 clubs across 200 countries. Members strive to fight diseases like polio, support education, ensure access to clean water, promote peace, and create sustainable solutions for the world’s greatest challenges. Through Rotary, members have the privilege of leaving an enduring impact on people’s lives, making them healthier, happier, and better off than they were before — and we have fun in the process. Why join Rotary? New and long-standing members of Rotary say they joined because Rotary gave them opportunities for fellowship, service and making a difference in their community and around the world. They stay because of the friendships they developed and the sense of purpose they feel when their service projects make a difference in the lives of others. Are You Ready to Take Action? If you want to take action to make a difference, The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs meets for breakfast every Thursday morning at Spring Run Golf Club.
