FBUK Member Anniversary MorningFoods Not many companies can trace their origins back to the late 17th Century. One that can is FBUK Member Morning Foods, the company behind Mornflake Oats, which began milling oats in Swettenham near Congleton in 1675 before moving to the company’s current home in Crewe in 1939.
To celebrate their 350th anniversary we asked Chairman of Mornflake, John Lea the secret of their success:
At Mornflake, we take immense pride in our heritage in Crewe and Cheshire - seeing our Crewe address on our packaging all over the world is a constant reminder of our roots. But, in business, standing still is not an option. Without innovation, you risk falling behind while others move ahead. Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do, from pioneering oat biscuits after the war to developing a wide range of products over the years. We introduced Granola in 1979, followed by Chocolatey Squares and Porridge Pots. As industry pioneers, we remain committed to pushing boundaries and shaping the future of oats.
