During the worst week of lockdown, we lost about £600,000.

William says he feels the the Government is taxing the people and businesses that make up the backbone of the economy. So, would he go into politics to change things? “No, I’d be useless,” he laughs. “Politics is an intellectual process between parties and anyone expecting quick change is deluded.” Despite widespread support and recognition for his social media posts, William has received his fair share of critics. He says for every 99 people backing him, he gets one critic. But he remains pragmatic. “If I’m going to criticise public figures I have to take my share. My sister asks me – why are you doing this? But I’ll carry on for as long as it takes or, at least until we see the detail of how the changes to BPR will work in practice. That may be the final whistle on my campaigning. Until then I’ll be back at the kitchen table on Saturday mornings writing missives to anybody who wants to read them.”
