Platinum was our selection from Coleman’s 2023 fall where he was the $340,000 valued high selling bull. These first sons of Platinum being offered are all out of cows, however in his second breeding season here at the ranch we used him heavily in our first calf heifers and got along fine calving those heifers out. Platinum’s sons show good early growth with a definite end point. They are rugged, cresty bulls that show early
sexual maturation and have developed into long sided, heavily muscled, thick made bulls. The heifer mates to these bulls are impressive. Recommended for cows. This was a mating that we were really excited about and what we envisioned when we brought Platinum into our herd bull battery. This guy is a thick, heavily muscled bull with good length of body and balance. He is just very complete. His dam is a pasture favorite that is long, thick, powerfully constructed with an excellent udder. She posts an average NR of 6@108 with sons selling for $14,000, $5,750, and $5,000, and had a daughter sell for $5,500. Another daughter retained in the herd is one of our best Steamboat daughters that catches your attention from across the pasture. Keep all of this guy’s daughters, they should be exceptional.
Recommended for cows. A strong topped, complete bull that is wide based and thick. He came small but stepped on the gas while on the cow to earn a 121 WW ratio. If you want calves that will come easy but bring in a big pay weight in the fall check this guy out. His dam is a deep bodied, easy fleshing female with a nice udder.
