Long wavelength solutions for high speed data communication
At ECOC 2022 (booth #473) TRUMPF presents its long wavelength approach and introduces the 940 nm 100 G products. Latest trend is long wavelength VCSEL solutions for high speed datacom. Long wavelength VCSELs can operate at much higher temperature while maintaining excellent reliability. Especially in car networks in automotive higher operation temperature is requested due to higher ambient temperature. But long wavelength VCSELs are not only suitable for higher temperatures, but the material is also more robust to operate at higher current densities which enable higher bandwidths. TRUMPF is therefore focusing
on long wavelength to support new standard in industries such as automotive. TRUMPF offers high speed VCSELs and photodiodes also as pair, and the solutions are suitable for TxRx, AOC, EOM, as well as consumer applications like HDMI, USB, and Thunderbolt.
