There was something even more magical and aligned waiting for me. For over a year, I had envisioned guiding other therapists, but I hadn't yet figured out how to bring that dream to life. The first step I took was to close my Occupational Therapist business and take an extended break to acknowledge the persistent exhaustion I felt. During this period, I felt a strong pull towards Reiki. Within two months, I completed my Level 1 and 2 training. Reiki transformed my life by providing me with a new level of energetic clarity and quickly became integral to my vision. Supporting therapists in protecting their energy while merging science with spirituality, the visible with the invisible. I then commenced my new business; Expand With Kate.
I now offer a mentorship program called "Resourced," which spans 3 to 4 months and is designed to help therapists become aware of their energy leaks that occur throughout the day. These leaks are often rooted in outdated protective patterns such as over-giving, perfectionism, or self- silencing. Together, we develop tools that allow therapists to connect with their embodied selves. Participants learn to release what doesn’t belong to them, tune into their own bodies and energy, and return fully to themselves. By the end of their workday, they feel grounded, present, and energise, no longer weighed down by their work.
