At Albatross Travel, we pride ourselves on the knowledge and experience of our Contract Managers and their understanding of coach group travel. It’s true to say that they live and breathe their areas and have a real passion for creating innovative and varied products. Introducing Mark Cocks, Senior Contract Manager & Isle of Wight & Channel Islands Specialist Mark says… “I feel lucky to have these islands under my wing; in fact, I have had them for many years now. I really enjoy visiting each of them, getting under their skin to see how I can develop the holidays and experiences, as well as building on the excellent relationships we have with our suppliers. Each island offers an individual type of holiday, with a unique flavour to each and a journey across the water that adds to that sense of exploration and going on holiday.” Mark recommends… “For me, if I had to choose a favourite, it would be Guernsey (page 63) , just for the beautiful scenery from every ‘corner’ of the island, and the incredibly genteel pace of life. With 2025 being the 80th anniversary of the Liberation in 1945, this is an ideal opportunity to visit the islands as they celebrate this historical event. The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied during the war and the experience has shaped generations past and present.”
Introducing Jodie Bell, Contract Manager & Isle of Man Specialist Jodie says… Based in West Cumbria, I can see the Isle of Man from our shores! This is a unique destination and much more than just the TT. I have therefore created a second itinerary to showcase more of what this beautiful island has on offer! Jodie recommends… For 2025, we have included 2 itineraries in the Isle of Man. There is our traditional itinerary, which features the key highlights of the island, including Cregneash Folk Park and the Snaefell Mountain Railway. Our new A Taste of the Isle of Man itinerary on page 66 allows return visitors to see another side of the Isle of Man, focusing on the flavours of this one-off destination, including a visit to a distillery, a ‘Pie in the Sky’ as well afternoon tea at the famous Creg-ny-baa.
