Taste of the Moselle Discover the charming characteristics of the majestic Moselle whilst sampling some of its delights. We admire beautiful panoramic scenery as we wind our way through the Moselle Valley, passing picture-postcard villages and quaint towns. SUGGESTED ITINERARY Day 1 Embark in Koblenz - Beilstein We arrive in Koblenz and board our ship from 15.00, before cruising to Beilstein. Day 2 Beilstein - Zell Sit back and relax as we cruise from Beilstein to Zell. Day 3 Zell - Bernkastel-Kues - Cochem We cruise from Zell to Bernkastel-Kues where our optional excursion is a Moselle wine tour. We travel through the sea of vineyards, learning about the wonderful wines of the Moselle from our knowledgeable driver. Later, we commence sailing to Cochem. Day 4 Cochem - Koblenz On arrival in Cochem our optional excursion takes us to the majestic Reichsburg, where the lord of the castle will enlighten us on its exciting history. After sailing to Koblenz, on the banks of the Rhine and the Moselle, we may wish to enjoy an optional tour of the city’s wine cellars, learning how wine and sparkling wine are made complete with sparkling wine tasting, or a guided walking tour of this fascinating two-river city. Day 5 Disembark in Koblenz After breakfast, we disembark at 09.00 and make our way home. OPTIONAL SHORE EXCURSIONS
Day 1 Embark in Strasbourg - Mannheim We arrive, board our ship, have welcome cocktails & an introduction. We then sail for Mannheim. Day 2 Mannheim - Heidelberg This morning we cruise the Rhine and Neckar rivers to Heidelberg for an optional guided tour. Day 3 Heidelberg - Mainz - Frankfurt We cruise the Neckar and Rhine to Mainz for an optional guided tour. Later, we sail to Frankfurt. Day 4 Frankfurt - Rüdesheim Today’s optional excursion includes a guided tour of Frankfurt. We then sail to Rüdesheim, where we can join an optional tour. Day 5 Rüdesheim - Koblenz - Cochem We cruise through the Rhine Gorge. In Koblenz, we may wish to embark on an optional tour of the city before sailing on the Moselle to Cochem. Day 6 Cochem - Trier Our optional excursion to Cochem takes us to its Reichsburg, an imposing neo-Gothic castle. We have free time in Cochem before cruising to Trier. Day 7 Trier - Saarburg Today we can take an optional guided tour of Trier. We then cruise the Moselle and Saar to Saarburg. Day 8 Saarburg - Luxembourg This morning we sail the Saar to Remich. We can take our optional excursion to Luxembourg City before returning to Remich for a winery visit, wine- tasting & free time. Tonight is our gala evening. Day 9 Disembark in Luxembourg After breakfast, we disembark & head home. An optional coach transfer is available from Luxembourg back to Strasbourg (additional cost).
