Visual pattern becomes musical composition through an innovative translation of three of Michael Ford’s wallcovering designs into original works of music. By assigning notes, rhythms, and chords to the patterns, the team developed a system that reads each design like a sheet of music. The result is three unique pieces that reveal the hidden rhythm and melody within the artwork, offering a new way to experience pattern through sound.
