Business Leadership

ENGLISH LEVELS & CLASSES

EXCURSIONS Business Leadership students will have the opportunity to take part in a half-day visit to a business on Wednesdays and will join Lancing’s English Plus and English for the Future students on the weekend for full-day excursions to cultural and historic adventures to destinations and attractions around London and the South of England. TYPICAL DAY Business Leadership students receive 20 hours of tuition per week. These are split into 4 sessions a day except for Wednesday when students depart on a fully guided visit to a business organisation and take part in an outside of the classroom workshop.

Finance Students will learn to read financial statements, manage budgets, and make sound financial decisions that drive business growth and profitability. Operations Students will explore the inner workings of an organisation, optimising processes and managing resources to ensure efficiency and successful day-to-day operations. COURSE OUTCOMES Students receive a Bede’s Certificate in Business Leadership. SPORTS & ACTIVITIES Business Leadership students will join the other students for a varied programme of sports and activities in the afternoons. SOCIAL EVENTS (EVENINGS) A full programme of organised and supervised social events is offered every evening enabling students to merge and make new friends, thus developing their social skills. By actively encouraging the mixing of nationalities, the programme helps to create an international community.

COURSE CONTENT Students will explore a variety of themes relating to Business Leadership, from Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance which will enable them to dive into the world of Business as well as improve their general English language skills, practise communication and build confidence. Entrepreneurship Students will create an entrepreneurial mindset as they learn to identify opportunities, take calculated risks, and innovate to create their own ventures. Business Startup Students will gain practical knowledge and skills to transform a great idea into a viable business, from crafting a business plan to securing funding. Marketing Students will master the art of promoting products and services, understanding consumer behaviour, and building a strong brand presence in a competitive market. Human Resources Students will discover the crucial role of managing a company’s most valuable asset – its people – by exploring topics like recruitment, training, and team development.
