Examples of excursions are: Saturdays (full-day) London Eye, Oxford Street Shopping, River Cruise, Science Museum in London Sundays (full-day) Port Lympne Safari Park, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Thorpe Park
After a busy day of lessons, Pathways to Higher Education students can enjoy some free time on campus by engaging in additional study, relaxing in their accommodation or independently venturing into the cosmopolitan city of Brighton in small groups. Students need to adhere to Brighton Behaviour Policy and frequently check in with the centre management team following the guidelines in the Student Handbook, dependant on their age. SOCIAL EVENTS (EVENINGS) Social events, organised for Pathways to Higher Education every evening Monday to Friday, enable students to participate in the vibrant student life of the University of Sussex campus and in the city of Brighton, whilst forging new friendships and having fun. Students will take part in the great range of entertainment and events at their disposal in Brighton. The social programme will see students visit the famous beach and pier, as well as many attractions and shop in the unique and quirky ‘North Laine district’ during their stay. In any one week, students might visit the Royal Pavilion in Brighton followed by some shopping time in the boutiques of the Lanes or entertaining themselves in the amusements on the Brighton Palace
