COURSE AIM This course aims to provide delegates with an overview of the searching functionality that is available within the Charter solution. Using hands-on examples, exercises and other activities, the course aims to equip system users with the necessary skills and knowledge required to create searches, run searches and analyse search results. AUDIENCE The course is suitable for users and trainers of the Charter Search module within the force. DELEGATE PREREQUISITES It is assumed that delegates are proficient in the use of Windows PCs and all related and relevant business processes within the force. COURSE FORMAT This hands-on instructor led course will provide delegates with the practical experience of Charter Search capabilities through the use of interactive demonstrations and practical exercises.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES During the course delegates will learn how to:

• How to login and out of the product and navigate the menus and submenus • Understand how to access the Search Manager functionality • How to run an existing search • How to create a Saved Search • How to structure search criteria • Perform keyword, background and scheduled searches • Perform and, or and Group searches • Understand how to interpret search results and using the Analysis button • Perform Built in and Source searches
