CN August September 2023 Vol. 62 Issue 5

SPECIAL FEATURE

One of the youngest to enjoy the style show was 4-month-old Maive, daughter of Matthew and Zaidee Standsberry of Omaha, watching her grandmother Cindy Standsberry on the runway.

Misty Stauffer shows her husband, Kenny, an outfit that has caught her eye. She sometimes finds an outfit and usually gets a hat at the yearly Cattlemen’s Ball.

Following her place in the style show, model Kristin Koehlmoos visits with her sister, Kellie Bloedorn.

Headliner Josh Turner takes a break from singing to address the crowd at the 2023 Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska.

Kristin Koehlmoos was one of 35 models in the style show.

Shirley Martin, right, looks over the artistry of Sheryl Piere of Blackbird Hill Studio, Macy, Neb.

Mary Smith, left, and Kellie Wageman visit at this history tent. Both were instrumental in setting up displays where the history of cattle feeding, along with the Cattlemen’s Ball, were displayed on a section of an old, dismantled barn.

The decorations throughout the ball grounds showcase the personality of each Cattlemen’s Ball. The various colors of ribbons represent different types of cancer.

This year, the Weborg family’s Christian faith was galvanized at their Serenity Gardens, with angels fashioned from grain bin roofs and a cascading fountain from galvanized water tanks.

The big tent set up on a Nebraska wheat stubble field was filled with those enjoying Josh Turner and his band.
