Turn On Your Body’s Natural Clean-Up Crew By: Amanda Archibald

Just as you wouldn't want trash piling up in your home, your body also dislikes lingering harmful substances inside it. These substances include car emissions, household chemicals, medication by- products, and waste from normal bodily functions. Detoxification is the body's innate process of breaking down and eliminating these unwanted materials. How does detoxificatin work? Select foods can” talk” to your genes. These are called bioactives. These bioactives contain tiny instructions that turn on your body’s detoxifcation/waste management systems, and ultimately flush out waste. This interaction between food and genes is called Nutrigenomics.

BIOACTIVE FOOD SUBSTANCES INCLUDE:

Cruciferous Vegetables (such as broccoli & cauliflower): Rich in sulforaphane, Garlic, Onions, Radishes, and Capers: Contain quercetin. Berries: safeguard and assist the liver in its essential trash elimination. Citrus Fruits (like oranges and lemons): Aids in converting toxins into easily eliminable forms.

These ingredients are part of our Fresh Zest Foundational Toolbox. This foundational tool box consists of both: antioxidant ingredients (our cellular defense) detoxifying ingredients Incorporate these foundational food items into your daily routine; ensuring your basic nutritional needs are met.
