CHRIS METHNER Owner, Blessed Bayou Wildlife & FIsheries Chris is a Graduate of Texas A&M University, the owner of Blessed Bayou Wildlife & Fisheries, and has 20 years of experience as a wildlife & fisheries biologist all across the southeastern U.S., specializing in whitetail deer genetics and trophy largemouth bass production. Chris currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Board of the Texas Deer Association.

MACY LEDBETTER Owner, Spring Creek Outdoors

LIN POOR Owner, Texas Wildlife Management Lin is the owner of Texas Wildlife Management and has been a Wildlife Biologist for 30 years. Lin studied genetics at the University of Texas and received his MS in Wildlife Biology from Southwest Texas State University. Lin has published studies on Deer Management and Ecology, as well as whitetail deer food habits in the state of Texas. Lin also is one of the most experienced wildlife biologists in Texas and has been a deer breeder for over 20 years.

Macy is a Graduate of Texas A&M University, the owner of Spring Creek Outdoors, and has been a Wildlife Biologist in Texas for over 30 years. Macy is one of the most experienced biologists in the state, as well has been awarded the Hunter Heritage Foundation Wildlife Industry Leadership & Development Award as Private Property Protector of the Year, as well as Texas Deer Association’s two-time President’s Appreciation Awards.

DAYDEN SHAFFER Co‑Owner, The Velvet Standard Consulting Dayden Shaffer is the founder of The Velvet Standard, a Texas-based Cervid consulting company, and current Manager at Paragon Whitetails in Trinity, TX. With 12 years in the deer industry and a background managing some of the top breeding herds in the state, Dayden brings a sharp eye and a hands-on approach to herd health, record-keeping, and breeding strategy. She’s known for turning chaos into game plans, especially during fawning and breeding season. Catch her seminar at this year’s convention for practical strategies on fawn management at weaning and how to get your does primed for a successful breeding season.

DR. LUKE DUCKWORTH Southern Veternary Services

Dr. Luke Aaron Duckworth graduated from Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He then went to work for Trans Ova Genetics where he performed embryo transfer and in-vitro fertilization in cattle. Dr. Duckworth purchased Southern Veterinary Services in the spring of 2018. He and his colleague, Dr. Stan Bychawski, are the only team of board-certified theriogenologist (veterinary reproduction specialist) in the United States. They take great pride in offering the high- est level of knowledge, skill, and professionalism to the whitetail and exotic industry.
