nce upon a time, hundreds of years ago, several fairy families embarked on a journey from Ireland, traveling across the Atlantic Ocean on one of the many ships. They cleverly hid in a crate of herbs from a grand estate in County Mayo, which was transported to the United States aboard the Alexis. They had heard tales from other fairies about Florida's vast open spaces filled with citrus fruits and herbs. In the area of Bonnet Creek, they discovered the perfect habitat, with a creek flowing with fresh water and an abundance of plants and trees to build their homes. Over the years, their family grew, and the need for more homes arose. This is how the fairies found their way to the most magical place in Bonnet Creek - the JW Marriott, where food and shelter were plentiful. And so, the stories begin.
In the magical JW Garden, there lives a fairy named Pippin. With wings that sparkle like the morning dew, Pippin’s heart is full of kindness. Every day, Pippin flutters around the garden, guiding the caterpillars to the juiciest leaves. He whispers encouraging words, knowing they will soon transform into beautiful butterflies. When the caterpillars spin their cocoons, Pippin watches over them with great care. As the days pass, the butterflies begin to emerge, their wings a kaleidoscope of colors. The garden is alive with the gentle fluttering of butterfly wings, and Pippins heart is filled with joy. Pippin continues his loving work, ensuring the magic of transformation and beauty thrives in the JW Garden.
In the same JW Garden, Pippin’s best friend, Moira - with wings that shine bright blue - tends to the herbs with great care. She sings to the basil, whispers to the rosemary, and dances among the thyme. Under her touch, the herbs thrive, filling the air with their delightful aroma. Moira has a special bond with the chefs, delivering fresh herbs to their kitchens daily. Her magic touch makes every dish burst with flavor. Guests marvel at the taste, but they will never know the magic behind the secret spices and herbs used. Moira continues her work, ensuring the herbs always add a sprinkle of magic to every meal. The JW Garden is flourishing, a testament to the fairy who makes every dish a little more special.
In our Sales office live two fairies named Flossy and Sassy, with wings that sparkle like crystal chandeliers and a smile that could light up any room. Their special talent is helping the sales team bring new business to the hotel by enchanting visiting meeting planners. Every day, the girls flutter through the JW Marriott, sprinkling magic everywhere. They make sure that all the desks in the offices are clean, dust-free, and ready for the day. When the salespeople come into the office in the morning, they hide, but they love to secretly watch from the safety of their little house, inside the office plant. And so, the little fairies live happily in their little fairy house in the office by the escalators, the success a testament to the fairies who make every visit magical. You may even sometimes see them through the little windows in the sales office next to the spa!
Serene is one of our most peaceful and mindful fairies, her wings gossamer with hundreds of tiny freshwater pearls sprinkled all over. Every morning, Serene wakes with the first light of dawn, her wings shimmering in the early sunlight. She hums a cheerful tune as she gathers fresh flowers and herbs from the enchanted JW garden. These ingredients are essential for her magical oils and lotions so when our guests use the products, they will glow with wellness and health! As she flutters through the spa, she greets each staff member with a sprinkle of pixie dust, boosting their spirits and energy for the day ahead. She is invisible, so the staff cannot actually see her, but they know she is there.
Gigi lives in the bustling JW Market. She has wings that sparkle like sugar crystals and a mischievous smile that hints at her magical nature. She makes her home inside the hotel’s gelato machine, a place where she can work her enchanting magic unseen by anyone. Gigi's mission is to ensure that the gelato flavors are always unforgettable and delicious, bringing each guest back to their childhood. Every night, when the hotel is quiet, she flutters out of the machine and visits the pastry shop. With a wave of her tiny wand, she sprinkles a touch of magic into the ingredients, making sure each batch of gelato is perfect. The chefs in the pastry shop often marvel at how their gelato turns out so delightful. They don’t know about Gigi, but they sense something magical is at work. One day, Chef Sergio caught a glimpse of her sparkling wings and knew he had a very special gelato assistant.
With wings that shimmer like moonlight, Milly has a special mission: to ensure all guest rooms are sparkling clean, smell delightful, and have the softest towels and sheets. Every night, Milly flutters from room to room, making beds with the softest sheets, fluffing pillows, and filling the air with soothing scents of lavender and fresh linen. She polishes mirrors and makes sure every surface is spotless, leaving no detail overlooked. Milly loves her nightly visits, ensuring every guest experiences the magic of a perfectly clean and inviting room. The JW Marriott thrives, and guests leave with wonderful memories, thanks to the fairy who makes their stay enchanting.
In the nooks and crannies of the JW Market, lives another delightful fairy named Illyne - the Coffee Fairy. Under the soft glow of the moon, Illyne flutters through the hotel, her wings shimmering like golden coffee dust. She works tirelessly through the night, ensuring that every cup of coffee served is the most flavorful and rich brew imaginable. Illyne’s cozy home is tucked away behind one of the many fairy doors in the hotel, hidden in the quietest and most serene spot. Here, she can escape the hustle and bustle, finding peace and tranquility to recharge her fairy energy. As the sun sets and the stars begin to twinkle, Illyne awakens, ready to embark on another magical night at the JW Market, ensuring that every guest experiences the perfect cup of coffee, brewed with love and a touch of fairy enchantment.
High on the 9th floor of the JW Marriott lives a magical fairy named Matcha. As night falls, Matcha begins his enchanting work. He flutters around, watering the pink cherry blossoms and sprinkling gold dust on each and every petal, making them glisten in the moonlight. He ensures that every fish scale shimmers and that the shrimp are perfectly pink and fresh. He also polishes the outside deck until it shines bright, ready to dazzle under the nightly fireworks display. Thanks to Matcha’s magical touch, illume remains a place of wonder and delight, where guests experience the enchanting beauty and flavors that only a fairy can create.
In our pastry shop, tucked behind in the long hallways, lives a delightful fairy named Chantilly. She makes her cozy home in one of the drawers that house the chocolate chips, but hush, do not tell Chef Sergio! Every night, she sprinkles magic powdered sugar on all the cookies, making them taste like a dream. Between 1 and 2 am, she crafts special marzipan to add to the almond croissants, ensuring they are simply irresistible. When dawn approaches, Chantilly jumps back into the chocolate chip drawer to rest and get ready for her next shift. The pastry shop thrives, and guests leave with smiles and sweet memories, all thanks to the fairy who brings a touch of magic to every treat.
And so, the fairies of Bonnet Creek continue to delight guests and associates with their magic and mischief. More are sure to arrive in time — though no one sees them come. The only way you’ll know they’re here is when a new fairy door appears, tucked in some quiet corner, as if by magic.
