Thank you for taking the time to apply for the appointment of Project Manager with Mitsubishi Estate London. The Mitsubishi Estate Group began it’s operation in London in 1986 and has been engaged in the leasing and development of real estate, primarily office buildings and apartments. Part of a well established and recognised international brand, Mitsubishi Estate is seeking a Project Manager who can bring a new perspective to the group with roots in London, and will help the Group to expand its growing number of London projects.

• Acquired Atlas House (100% office building in the City of London) in 1985 as first investment in the UK. • Opened office in London in 1986, starting with 2 expats which has currently grown to 11 in addition to 4 local staff. • Conducted 4 development projects of totalling more than 130,000sqm of net effective floor area.

• In London currently owns 6 office buildings totalling c.104,000sqm of net internal area.

• Redevelopment of 245 Hammersmith Road currently has been completed.

• 8 Bishopsgate is under construction.

• Development of built-to-rent residential in Nine Elms is currently underway.

• Holds further potential development schemes in its pipeline.

• Acquired office buildings in Paris in 2014 and 2018, also an office building in Munich in 2017.

• Acquired 8 logistic buildings in Netherlands in 2018 and 2019.

• Owns approximately £1.3 billion in asset value across the UK and EU.

8 Bishopsgate

• Two buildings standing next to one another, these buildings were acquired in Spring 2011.

• Located at the corner of main thoroughfares of Leadenhall Street and Bishopsgate the site is a prime core location in the City of London.

• The site is located in the Square Mile, where tower buildings may be permitted.

• Planning consent has been granted in October 2017 to build a 50-storey tower building of 53,000sqm NIA.

• Under construction. Completion expected in 2022.

Paternoster Square

• Mitsubishi Estate London marked its debut in London by a redevelopment project of a 1960’s office block adjacent to St Paul’s Cathedral which was unpopular among citizens and local government alike. • Mitsubishi Estate London was responsible for the master plan of the majority of the site as well as the delivery of four buildings and the infrastructure of the square.

• The site was well known for its complexity and sensitivity of being adjacent to St Paul’s.

• Mitsubishi Estate London has since sold two of its buildings, in 2003 and 2013.

Key Responsibilities A Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of working within the London real estate market. Ideally you will come from a quantity surveying or engineering background and then progressed into project management. This role will entail managing MELL’s principal investments, principally in the ongoing development and refurbishment schemes at 8 Bishopsgate, 60-72 Upper Ground (former ITV The London Television Centre) and Warwick Court, with a strong focus on budget and programme management. You will be expected to attend regular project meetings with business partners and to propose your strategies and ideas for propelling the projects, and to provide minutes when needed. Experience needed: • Project Manager with experience within a real estate/ project management consultancy. • Degree educated (Quantity Surveying or Engineering degree). • Extensive knowledge of the investment and asset management of complex real estate projects. • Cat A experience - essential. • Cat B experience - ideal. • Strong skills in Excel are essential. The successful candidate will ideally be: • Good communication and team building skills with Clients, Colleagues and Contractors. • Good written communication skills for letter writing and report writing. • Good analytical skills for problem solving and planning. • Active team player. • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
