Last month, I reflected upon how you, my clients, have positively impacted my life. I am going to shift gears, and now you’re in the driver’s seat. From the very beginning, when we met in our initial meeting, it was the start of what I believe was — and still is — my purpose: Getting to know you. And how do I do this? By listening. It all starts with a conversation. We had already gathered some information from you with the questionnaire we sent to you prior to our first meeting. At our meeting, it was time to talk one on one, a chance for me to learn more about you and what was on your mind when it came to discussing your ideal retirement. Individuals who continue learning through reading, travel, or continuing education courses inspire me. Through conversation, I learn about — and adopt — these positive mindsets: there is ALWAYS something new to discover. That’s where shared experiences and communication come in! I’ve learned that while financial legacies matter, we should also focus on leaving behind memories, wisdom, and values. Our impact on others extends beyond money; sharing experiences and knowledge enriches lives. Effective communication and active listening are essential in guiding folks prior to and during retirement. It is a forever-evolving core value we incorporate into our everyday meetings with each and every one of you. To me, the art of listening is all about paying close attention to what my clients say to me — their life stories, struggles, and dreams — and not thinking about what I want to say and add in. It is a CONNECTING WITH YOU The Heart of Our Retirement Planning Approach
wonderful tool for getting to know someone better, and it helps me build a retirement plan that is perfectly suited for our clients. By successfully practicing effective communication skills, I have become more understanding, compassionate, and supportive, especially during difficult moments in my clients’ financial journeys. To me, that translates to success for all of us! And, of course, communication with our clients doesn’t end with me. The entire team at Wolf Retirement Navigation engages in the same practice. It is our strength, I believe, ensuring a bond and a lifelong partnership rooted in the professional, as well as the personal, aspect of our clients’ years prior to and in retirement. By putting clients at the center of our practice, we ensure their financial well- being. Our commitment extends beyond financial equations too. Through our client events, partnership with JaxPAL, and strong ties within our community, we work continuously to enhance the lives of everyone with whom we come in contact. Communication is essential in all aspects of life — in our relationships, professional endeavors, and passions. Effective communication preserves family harmony and helps those unions to not only survive, but also thrive. That’s why we are so invested in connecting with you. After all, what is important to you is important to us!

Create or Join a Cooking Club! A RECIPE FOR GREAT FOOD AND FRIENDSHIPS
Cooking clubs can turn a chore into a flavorful event, with your friends acting as the ingredients for a good time and some good food. Let’s face it: Preparing a meal on your own can sometimes be a lonely, uphill slog, but if you cook with others, utilizing a theme, goal, or challenge to make it all the more exciting, it can be spectacular! Here are two reasons why — and how — you should create a cooking club! Friends of a Feather Cooking clubs usually comprise a small group of friends who come together regularly to cook. If you have friends who are similarly interested in expanding their culinary horizons, you are well on your way to establishing a successful club! Agree on a time — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — to collaborate on themed meals, preparation, or even cooking challenges, and away you go! Cooking Up a Good Time Each time your cooking club meets, you can embark on a new and exciting culinary adventure! Having a theme for your club’s meetup — like Thai, Italian, or French — can allow your group to spread their foodie wings and learn more about regional cuisine. You can also replicate one of your favorite television cooking competitions, like “Chopped” or “Cutthroat Kitchen,” and turn one of your club’s
gatherings into an entertaining spectacle! If you want to embark on a group diet, meal prepping with your group is a great way to reduce food waste and save money by bulk purchasing groceries. Collaborating on a culinary project can help rekindle friendships while exploring a fun hobby with those whose company you adore. If you want to socialize more while creating delectable memories with loved ones and friends, then a cooking club may be your new favorite group hobby!
ADAM’S 3X3 29029 CHALLENGE IN OCTOBER CONQUERING NEW CHALLENGES
It’s that time of year again; and, this time, there is a new challenge! This October, Adam’s 29029 trek looks different, but his goal remains the same. It’s all about distance — 78.6 miles — not about vertical height as in previous 29029 Everest Challenges. 2024 29029 TRAIL Tahoe From Oct. 3–5, 2024, Adam will be in picturesque Lake Tahoe to conquer the new 3x3 29029 Challenge, known as 29029 TRAIL Tahoe. How is this one different? This year, his goal is to complete this ultimate challenge of endurance, consisting of three unique mountain trail marathons, in 12 hours each day for three days. This opportunity is only available to 29029 alumni who have previously completed other Everest Challenges, so he’s thrilled to see some familiar
faces and to reconnect. 2024 JaxPAL Fundraiser
This year, we are excited to put the FUN in fun draiser! As Adam sets out to conquer his 3x3 29029 Challenge, we will be standing behind him, figuratively speaking, cheering him on as he treks to the finish line in support of our JaxPAL kids. Our annual JaxPAL fundraiser party following Adam’s inaugural 3x3 TRAIL Tahoe Challenge has some new and exciting events and activities on the horizon — stay tuned for more information!

Events present opportunities for conversations for other things besides work-related topics, and clients can get to know us better. “At WRN, we operate like that saying — treat those how YOU would want to be treated. If I were in our clients’ shoes, I would want to know I’m being taken care of and that my hard-earned money is in good hands with good people with whom I have good communication.
