Preston College Adult Course Guide 2026

SCIENCE

Science drives innovation, shapes the world around us, and opens the door to diverse career opportunities, far beyond the traditional laboratory setting. At Preston College, our science courses are delivered in the iSTEM Centre, a purpose- built facility offering a practical learning environment. Featuring multi-functional science laboratories and bespoke classrooms, the iSTEM Centre is designed to help you formulate ideas, test hypotheses, present findings, and build essential practical skills.

If you aspire to study science at university but don’t yet have the required Level 3 qualification, our Access to Higher Education programme offers a direct pathway, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed for university-level study. For those starting a career in science, our GCSE Science starting in September 2026, provides the base level qualification often expected from employers, whilst opening the door to further study and career progression.
