A Good Report (JUL-SEP 2026)

Mini Study: If Jesus walked the earth today, how would He vote? T hroughout history, mankind has searched for the perfect form of government. Democracies, monarchies, re- publics, dictatorships, and socialist systems have all promised peace, justice, and prosperity. Yet every human government has ultimately fallen short. Jesus Christ came preaching a very different message—the good news of the coming Kingdom of God. Rather than seeking to reform the governments of this age, Christ announced the establishment of God’s perfect government that will replace them all at His return. Consider these scriptures carefully.

What was the central message Jesus preached? Many assume Jesus primarily preached about Himself. While His sacrifice is central to salvation, the Bible reveals that His primary public message was the Kingdom of God. Mark 1:14-15. Comment: After John the Baptist was imprisoned, Jesus began His public ministry by preaching the gos- pel—the good news—of the King- dom of God. He proclaimed that God’s appointed time was being ful- filled, called people to repentance, and urged them to believe the gospel. Christ’s message centered on God’s coming government, not on reform- ing the governments of this present age. The word gospel simply means “good news.” Jesus proclaimed the coming government of God that will bring lasting peace, justice, and righ- teousness to the earth. Whose world is this present age? The Bible describes our present civ- ilization differently than most people realize. John 14:30; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 John 5:19.
