TIPOS DE PORCELÁNICO Y CONSEJOS La norma UNE-EN ISO 10545-7 “Norma PEI” está referida a la resistencia de los materiales. Esta norma está referida a la resistencia al desgaste de los materiales. Principalmente indicada para pavimentos de ella se desprende una tabla orientativa de valores de resistencia y tipos de tránsito para los que el material especí f ico suele estar recomendado (Impor tante: Seguir siempre las especi f icaciones del fabricante):

Mostly relevant to f looring, a table is shown as a guide to the resistance values and types of transit for which the specified material is usually recommended (Important : Always follow the manufacturer ’s specifications):

After using this table to select the appropriate stoneware material for the place in which it will be installed, follow the recommendations below for a satisfactory installation: 1. Before beginning the installation, it is essential that the substrate has matured and is per fectly dry and hardened (that all shrinkage has occurred due to hardening) to prevent the appearance of conditions such as lifting tiles or cracks due to lack of stability. 2. Before their installation, check their quality, colour and size, and that the material is free of any potentially visible defects. To obtain a better decorative effect , tiles from various boxes can be mixed. Handle the material carefully to avoid breaking or chipping the edges of the tiles. 3. Never soak or immerse the tiles in water before installing them and do not install them using traditional cement mortar (thick layer). Install them on a thin layer using a toothed trowel and adhesive cement of at least type C1 (standard EN 12.004). For large sized tiles (one side longer than 40 cm), use the double bonding method. Scrupulously observe the manufacturer ’s usage requirements for the adhesive cement : method, amount of water and mixing time, opening time of tile adhesive, maximum thickness to apply (maximum thickness in mm), etc.
Una vez tenida en cuenta esta tabla de cara a la elección del material de gres en función del lugar donde se vaya a colocar, hay que seguir las siguientes recomendaciones de cara a obtener una colocación satisfactoria: 1. Es imprescindible que antes de comenzar la colocación, el sopor te haya madurado y esté per fectamente seco y endurecido (que hayan tenido lugar todas las retracciones por fraguado), para evitar la aparición de patologías como levantamientos o f isuras consecuencias de la falta de estabilidad. 2. Antes de su colocación, veri f icar, calidad, tono y calibre, así como que el material esté libre de posibles defectos visibles. Para obtener un mejor efecto decorativo se deben mezclar las piezas de varias cajas. Manipular cuidadosamente el material para evitar despuntados o desconchados en las aristas de las baldosas. 3. En ningún caso moje o sumerja en agua las piezas antes de su colocación ni realice la colocación utilizando mor tero tradicional (capa gruesa). Realice la colocación en capa f ina mediante la utilización de una llana dentada y de cementos cola como mínimo de tipo C1 (norma EN 12.004). Para formatos grandes (un lado mayor de 40 cm.), utilice el método de doble encolado. Respete escrupulosamente los requisitos de utilización del fabricante del cemento cola: método, tiempo y proporción deagua en el amasado, tiempo abier to de colocación, espesor máximo a aplicar (grosor máximo en mm.), etc. . .
