The Meetup
Based on feedback received during the regional meetings, a submitter may choose to refine a proposal. Updates can be sent to NCWM with a request that they be forwarded to the appropriate Standing Committee and posted to the NCWM website. If at least one regional association forwards a proposal to one of our Standing Committees, the proposal moves forward for consideration at the Interim Meeting in January.
Next Stop: Redondo Beach
As the regional meetings come to a close, we turn our attention to our next opportunity to gather as a conference: the NCWM Interim Meeting in Redondo Beach, California, this January. We strongly encourage Form 15 submitters to attend the Interim Meeting. It is an important opportunity to address concerns raised during the regional process, explain updates to an agenda item, provide additional justification, and answer questions from the Standing Committees. During the Interim Meeting, the Standing Committees determine the appropriate status for agenda items as they move toward consideration at the next Annual Meeting. Items may be designated Voting, Informational, Assigned, Developing, or Withdrawn, depending on their stage of development and the work that remains. It is a process that takes us from Annual to regional meetings, from the regions to Interim, and ultimately back to Annual—and it depends on the participation and expertise of our members and stakeholders every step of the way. Philadelphia gave us a great 111th Annual Meeting. Now the work continues, and before long, we’ll trade the streets of Philadelphia for the shores of Redondo Beach.
We look forward to seeing you in California!
