Chair’s Column
Metrology needs the support of the entire weights and measures community, as they are the foundation of every weights and measures program in the world. It is time their work receives more recognition and support, as it will provide insight for administrators on the importance of this oft- overlooked aspect of weights and measures. There is an adage, “Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach”. This does not ring true to me because whether you’re leading a class, speaking with a business owner after an inspection, or talking to a customer after calibrating their artifacts, you are indeed Educating for Accuracy. I was humbled to be asked to serve on the Board of Directors, then honored to become Chair-elect, and I would like to thank the membership of NCWM for allowing me the opportunity to serve as Chairman of this great organization. I am truly grateful. I look forward to collaborating with the NCWM staff, committee members, and the general membership to advance the organization's goals and mission. I hope to see you at your regional meetings, and in Redondo Beach for the NCWM Interim Meeting. If I don’t see you in person, please feel free to reach out to me anytime!
