BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY THE LAWS OF THE LAND

W herever your holiday travel plans might take you, make sure you’re as prepared as possible! Here are some interesting laws from different states that are as real as they are baffling head-scratchers. But, no matter how silly some may seem, remember they’re in place for a reason, so do your best to abide by them. COLORADO You are not allowed to roll, throw, or otherwise move any boulders on public property. Seeing as most boulders are pretty heavy, we’re not too worried about your breaking this law. ILLINOIS It’s illegal to fall asleep in a cheese shop. So, if cheese makes you sleepy for some reason, play it safe and take it to go.

LOUISIANA You can’t order goods or services for someone without telling them about it first. So, if you’re sending flowers to a loved one, or getting a surprise pizza delivered for dinner, you’ll have to fess up. We’re sure they’ll still appreciate it! MARYLAND No audible profanity is allowed while driving. We’re a fan of this law and think it’s a great idea for more cities. Until then, we want to remind everyone to stay safe and keep their cool while driving. NEW YORK No selfies with big cats. You read that right. If you’re going to a zoo in New York this vacation, choose a nice bird or monkey to snap a photo with instead,

and always respect all animals you come into contact with.

TENNESSEE It’s illegal to use someone else’s Netflix account. This one could be tricky, especially if lousy weather is going to keep you inside all day. This could be a great time to break out a deck of cards for some friendly competition instead!
