Brookvale Safe Haven
Mayuri Parmar
The Brookvale Safe Haven, located on the ground level of Brookvale Community Health Centre opened in September 2024. Along with North Ryde Safe Haven, the new Brookvale Safe Haven provides a safe space for young people between the ages of 12 to 17 years to attend as an alternative to local Emergency Departments if experiencing suicidal distress.
The service is open during the hours of 4pm to 8pm, 7 days per week.
Safe Haven is part of the Towards Zero Suicide Initiative that is designed to address priorities in the Strategic Framework for Suicide Prevention in NSW 2018 - 2023.
