Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Services, MHDA
In line with NAIDOC week, celebrations were held throughout NSLHD.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of the NSLHD Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff Excellence Award. This year ’ s Inaugural winner was MHDA ’ s own Teahne Lyons. Teahne was recognised for her dedication and unwavering commitment to supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

On Thursday 10 th July, staff, consumers and community members gathered at Macquarie Hospital for a Welcome to Country and cultural performances including a smoking ceremony and Didgeridoo performance provided by First Nations Education.
