Scholastic ScholarZone Extended Learning

FLEXIBLE PLANNING, EASY IMPLEMENTATION

Scholar Zone Extended Learning makes planning and pacing seamless. Flexible pacing provides opportunities for large-group, small-group, and independent work and helps instructors engage scholars in both 30-minute and 60-minute extended learning programs.

Planning and Pacing

Each session may be accomplished in one day. If a session takes longer, just complete it the next day. Pacing is flexible, and you may adapt it to meet your needs. When adapting instruction, we recommend that you prioritize focus on Math Time selections. For Math Time work, help your students understand the What to Do or other model/ example section before asking them to complete the practice on their own or with additional support. The sessions follow a skills sequence informed by a typical sequence for each grade. However, you might choose to reorder sessions based on the needs of your students.
