SECTION X

Overview Company property refers to anything owned by COPC: physical, electronic, intellectual, or otherwise. The use of Company property is for business-related purposes only. When materials or equipment are assigned to an employee for business, it is the employee’s responsibility to see that the equipment is used and cared for properly. At all times, however, equipment assigned to the employee remains the property of the Company and is subject to reassignment and/

or use by COPC without prior notice or approval of the employee. This includes, but is not limited to, computer equipment and data stored therein, voicemail, records, and employee files. COPC has created specific guidelines regarding the use of Company equipment. Outlined below are employee responsibilities and limitations with regards to Company property.

Use of Company Property and Equipment

All communications equipment i.e., cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc., and systems owned by COPC considered to be electronic, wire or otherwise, i.e., email, voice mail systems, etc., are the sole property of the Company and are to be used primarily for business purposes only. Any abuse of Company equipment may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The messages contained in Company-owned equipment belong to the Company and are considered to be Company property. The Company reserves the right to access and disclose the contents of an employee’s email and/or an employee’s voice mail messages, without the permission of the employee. This equipment and these systems may not be used to send messages that are offensive, slanderous, discriminatory, or otherwise disruptive to the normal conduct of business of the Company, as determined by Company management.

All necessary equipment is furnished to employees to assist in their required duties. Each employee is, in turn, responsible for this equipment. Equipment damaged or stolen as a result of an employee’s negligence will be charged to the employee, to the extent permitted by federal, state, and local law. Company Property and Equipment: Employees should never operate machinery or use equipment, etc., which they have not been properly trained for. This is considered unauthorized use of Company property and is strictly prohibited. Office areas are required to be kept neat and orderly for safety purposes and all office equipment should be well-maintained and secure. The theft, misappropriation, or unauthorized removal, possession, or use of Company property or equipment is expressly prohibited. Company property is not permitted to be taken from the premises without pre-approved authorization from management or Human Resources.
