Auction of Palm Trees
The auction aims to support the preservation of local palm varieties and provide approved palm offshoots, seedlings, and palm trees to farmers and interested individuals, thereby contributing to the propagation of rare and high-value commercial varieties. Preliminary Approval of Entries • Details of the entries must be submitted to the relevant committee to obtain preliminary approval before uprooting or preparing it for participation in the auction. • The committee shall determine the varieties accepted for participation in the auction, including rare varieties approved by the committee. • Preliminary approval does not constitute final acceptance, as each entry is subject to inspection and approval upon delivery to the festival site. Preparation and Delivery • The seller shall prepare the palm offshoot, seedling, or palm tree and deliver it to the designated location at the festival. • The auction item must be delivered in a sound and stable agricultural bag or container and must bear the approved Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority identification or approved outer covering. • The auction item must be in good and stable condition, treated against fungi and insects, and its soil must be clean and free from pests and visible diseases.
يهــدف المــزاد إلى دعــم الحفــاظ على سلالات النخيــل المحليــة، وإتاحــة الصروم والزرايــع والنخيــل المعتمــدة أمــام المــزارعين والمهتــمين، بمــا يســهم في إكثــار الأصنــاف النــادرة وذات القيمــة الاقتصاديــة العاليــة. الموافقة المبدئية على المعروضات • تُُقــد ّّم بيانــات المعــروض إلى اللجنــة المختصــة للحصــول على الموافقــة المبدئيــة قبــل قلعــه أو تجهيــزه للمشــاركة في المــزاد. • تحـدد اللجنـة الأصنـاف المقبولـة للمشـاركة في المـزاد، بمـا فيهـا الأصنـاف النـادرة التـي تعتمدهـا اللجنة. • لا تعــد الموافقــة المبدئيــة قبــولا نهائيــاًً، إذ يخضــع المعــروض للفحــص والاعــتماد عنــد تســليمه في موقــع المهرجــان. التجهيز والاستلام • يجهـز البائـع الصرم أو الزريعـة أو النخلـة ويسـلمها في الموقـع المخصص بالمهرجان. • ي ُُســلّّم المعــروض في كيــس أو حاويــة زراعيــة ســليمة وثابتــة، وتحمــل الهويـة المعتمـدة مـن هيئة أبوظبـي لـلتراث أو التلبيس الخارجـي المعتمد.
