THEATER CAMPS
Newsies JR. Krista Pojman, Colleen Creghan *Only participants cast in ‘Newsies Jr.’ may register for this activity Youth artists participate in the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, ‘Newsies JR.’ Performers must be available to rehearse 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 15-July 16. Performers must be available for all performances July 17-19. Ages: 9-16 Class Date
All theater camps follow the Specialty Camp policies regarding required healthcare forms and cancellation procedures, as outlined on page 28.
Musical Theater Kids Camp Krista Pojman
Develop your acting and singing skills while rehearsing to perform the selected show at the end of the week. Participants must participate Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and be available for two performances on Friday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Participants rehearse and perform this action-packed adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best-selling book The Lightning Thief. Featuring a thrilling original rock score, ‘The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical’
follows half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson who has newly discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus’ master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed in his quest, Percy has to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. The Lightning Thief performers must be available to rehearse Monday- Friday from 6:30-9 p.m., July 13-Aug. 6. Performers must be available for all performances Aug. 7-16.
