9 TH ANNUAL ROYAL FLUSH BULL & FEMALE SALE
FULL DECK G E N E T I C S L A R S O N ’ S
WELCOME TO THE NINTH ANNUAL ROYAL FLUSH BULL AND FEMALE SALE! As we do each year - and we sincerely mean it - we extend our heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past nine years. Without your continued trust and commitment, these sales would not be possible. As we move further beyond the Damar Farms years, we remain focused on advancing those foundational genetics into the future. With many generations now removed from the Damar name, our program continues to evolve through strategic introduction of new genetics from multiple sires each year. Remarkably, we still maintain a small number of the original cows we purchased, which is a testament to the longevity and fertility that are core principles of our breeding philosophy. Alongside these traits, we place strong emphasis on growth and structural integrity. Each year, as we evaluate the calf crop, we carefully assess what has worked well and what opportunities for improvement may exist. This ongoing evaluation allows us to fine-tune our breeding program to best meet the individual needs of each dam and to enhance specific traits where needed. This approach is especially important in today's market, where beef prices remain strong across the industry. Our goal is to produce cattle that add profitability to your operation - whether you are selecting a herd bull or a female to expand your cow herd. Featured sires this year include BB Propulsion 9096, Bieber Checkmate K126, Bieber Jumpstart J137, Basin Keystone 2021, Basin Jameson 1076, TJ Gold Strike 506J, and TJ War Paint 759J. This past year seemed to pass quickly, even though I was required to slow down during the summer due to rotator cuff surgery. Before my return to work in August, Denise and I had the opportunity to travel to Alaska for an agricultural tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Denise is already hoping to return someday with the kids so they can experience its beauty as well. I continue my work with Diversified Farms, Denise is employed with the local K-12 school district, Aaron works at Cemstone, and Lindsay is with Mondovi Veterinary Service. Despite all four of us holding full time off-farm positions, we remain committed to developing and offering a fresh set of high-quality genetics each year. We are pleased to present the offerings for this year's Ninth Annual Royal Flush Bull and Female Sale. The sale features 16 head from Sandbox Farms, 25 head from Badger Creek Red Angus, 12 head from Diversified Farms, and 58 head from Larson's Full Deck Genetics. We sincerely thank you for the continued interest in our programs and in this sale. We invite you to join us on the afternoon of Friday, March 6, to view the cattle, followed by food and refreshments that evening. Sale day is Saturday, March 7. For those unable to attend in person, the sale will be broadcast live on DVAuction.com. Thank you once again, and we look forward to seeing you on March 7.

9 TH ANNUAL ROYAL FLUSH BULL & FEMALE SALE
It is with great pleasure that we welcome each of you to the Royal Flush Sale. Whether you are a customer that has watched us grow and expand over the last nine years or this is your first time showing interest in our offering, we appreciate each and every one of you. It is no secret that the beef industry is flourishing and adjusting, in our opinion correctly, to justify the input costs of what we all love to do, GROW AND EXPAND. With the feeder and finished cattle marketing being as comfortable as it is, we have been stricter than ever with the fall cut. The bulls we are offering are the top end males from our matings. If we questioned one a little on structure, stoutness, design, and overall presentation, we cut them. We are constantly pushing ourselves to produce herd bulls that will add value to your next calf crop, whether you are looking for a bull to cover first-calf heifers or one that will add power and mass to your herd.
Every year, we look forward to discussing good cattle and what we have to offer. We stand behind our cattle and are never more than a phone call away. Discussing future matings, marketing, strategy, pasture and feed rotations, and everything farm related is what makes us wake up every morning and pour ourselves into each day. We pride ourselves on being diversified with producing herd bulls, production females, show genetics, and even our boxed beef program. We look forward to discussing this year's offering for the Royal Flush Sale and hope to see you there on March 7, 2026.

Thank you to Larson's Full Deck Genetics and the other consignors for continuing this great annual sale. At Badger Creek Red Angus, we like to focus on balanced EPDs from birth to yearling. We are always looking for good disposition, mothering ability and growth. We have been raising cattle for around 25 years now on our family farm but first became interested in registered Red Angus in 2007, because of the disposition and maternal ability of these cattle. It's a family affair at Badger Creek, with my wife, Vicki, son, Brandon, and three daughters all helping on the farm at various times. As the family is growing - we have two granddaughters and three grandsons - so, too, are our farming operations and our list of valued customers. Thank you all for your support.

BREED ASSOCIATION EPD DEFINITIONS
EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCES DEFINITIONS AND USAGE
EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCES (EPDs) are the most accurate and effective tool available for comparing genetic levels. In using EPDs, the difference between two animals' EPDs represents the unit difference expected in the performance of their progeny. For example, if Sires A and B have EPDs of +10 and -5, a 15-unit difference would be expected in the performance of their progeny. The key to using EPDs is knowing what units they are expressed in. If the example above referred to Weaning Weight EPDs, Sire A would be expected to sire 15 pounds more weaning weight than Sire B, on average. If Calving Ease were the trait, Sire A would be expected to sire 15 percent more unassisted births in first-calf heifers. The PERCENTILE RANK of an EPD (or index) indicates how that EPD ranks relative to other animals in the breed. Though EPDs allow for the comparison of genetic levels for many economically important traits, they provide only a piece of the genetic puzzle. That's where INDEXES come in. Through well-conceived and rigorous mathematical computation, indexes blend EPDs and economics to estimate an animal's overall impact on your bottom line.
ProS : Profitability and Sustainability is an all purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in ProS include calving ease, growth, HPG, Stay, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born.
HB : HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability.
GM : GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the post- weaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM are Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area.
Calving Ease Direct (CED) : Predicts the differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of two-year-old dams. Birth Weight (BW) : Predicts differences in actual birth weight of progeny. Weaning Weight (WW) : Predicts differences in 205-day weaning weight. Yearling Weight (YW) : Predicts differences in 365-day yearling weight. Average Daily Gain (ADG) : Predicts differences in weight gain between 205 and 365 days of age. Dry Matter Intake (DMI) : Predicts differences in daily feed intake as measured in a feedlot during the post-weaning period. Milk (Milk) : Predicts differences in weaning weight attributed to the milking ability of the animal's daughters. Calving Ease Maternal (CEM) : Predicts differences in the percent of
daughters who are able to calve unassisted as two-year-old heifers. Stayability (Stay) : Predicts differences in the ability of an animals' retained daughters to remain productive in the herd - calve every year - through six years of age. Marbling (Marb) : Predicts differences in marbling score - amount of intramuscular fat measured at the 13th rib. Yield Grade (YG) : Predicts the differences in USDA Yield Grade, which is calculated using CW, REA and BF. Carcass Weight (CW) : Predicts differences in actual hot carcass weight. Ribeye Area (REA) : Predicts differences in square inches of ribeye area measured at the 13th rib. Back Fat (Fat) : Predicts differences in the depth of backfat measured between the 12th and 13th ribs.

Weaning Weight (WW) : Pounds of weaning weight at 205 days of age. Yearling Weight (YW) : Pounds of yearling weight at 365 days of age. Average Daily Gain (ADG) : Pounds of daily gain between 205 days and 365 days of age. Maternal Calving Ease (MCE) : Percent of unassisted births in first- calving daughters. Milk (Milk) : Pounds of weaning weight due to milk.
$TI : Terminal Index evaluates sires for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield. Expressed as dollars per cow exposed under a terminal sire scenario.
Maternal Weaning Weight (MWW) : Pounds of weaning weight due to milk and growth. Stayability (Stay) : Percent of daughters remaining productive in the cow herd at six years of age. Marbling (Marb) : Marbling score as measured at the 13th rib. Yield Grade (YG) : USDA Yield Grade score. Carcass Weight (CW) : Pounds of hot carcass weight. 9 TH ANNUAL ROYAL FLUSH BULL & FEMALE SALE
$M : Maternal Weaned Calf Value predicts profitability differences from conception to weaning with the underlying breeding objective assuming that individuals retain their own replacement females within herd and sell the rest of the cull female and all male progeny as feeder calves. The model assumes commercial producers will replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% of their breeding females in each subsequent generation. Traits included are as follows: calving ease direct, calving ease maternal, weaning weight, milk, heifer pregnancy, teat size, udder suspension, functional longevity, docility, mature cow weight, claw set and foot angle.
$W : Weaned Calf Value predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from birth to weaning. The underlying objective being producers will retain 20% of the female progeny as replacements and sell the rest of the cull females and their male counterparts as feeder calves. Traits included are as follows (in no particular order): birth weight, weaning weight, milk, and mature cow weight. $B : Beef Value predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics for postweaning and carcass traits. This terminal index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a carcass grid. Traits included in the index are as follows: yearling weight, dry- matter intake, marbling, carcass weight, ribeye area and fat.
$C : Combined Value includes all traits that make up both Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) and Beef Value ($B) with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers retained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid. Expected progeny differences directly influencing a combined index: calving ease direct, calving ease maternal, weaning weight, yearling weight, maternal milk, heifer pregnancy, teat size, udder suspension, functional longevity, docility, mature cow weight, foot angle, claw set, dry matter intake, marbling, carcass weight, ribeye area, and fat thickness.
Calving Ease Direct (CED) : Expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births when bred to first-calf heifers. Birth Weight (BW) : Predictor of a sire's ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny, expressed in pounds. Weaning Weight (WW) : Predictor of a sire's ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny, expressed in pounds. Yearling Weight (YW) : Predictor of a sire's ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny, expressed in pounds. Residual Average Daily Gain (RADG) : Predictor of a sire's genetic ability for postweaning gain, given a constant amount of feed consumed, expressed in pounds per day. Dry Matter Intake (DMI) : Predictor of transmitting ability for feed intake during the postweaning phase, expressed in pounds. Heifer Pregnancy (HP) : The probability of a sire's daughters becoming pregnany as first-calf heifers during a normal breeding season.
Calving Ease Maternal (CEM) : Expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births in first-calving daughters. Maternal Milk (Milk) : Predictor of a sire's genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters. Docility (Doc) : Expressed as a difference in yearling cattle temperament, with a higher value indicating more favorable docility. Carcass Weight (CW) : Predictor of the differences in hot carcass weight of a sire's progeny, expressed in pounds. Marbling (Marb) : Expressed as a fraction of the difference in USDA marbling score of a sire's progeny. Ribeye Area (REA) : Predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire's progeny, expressed in square inches. Fat Thickness (Fat) : Predictor of the differences in external fat thickness at the 12th rib of a sire's progeny, expressed in inches.
