Gonsior Simmentals - Gonisor Simmentals In The Heartland Production Sale [3/15/26]

Selling 113 Lots on March 15... Black & Red Polled SimGenetics including Spring & Fall Herd Bull Prospects, Elite Bred Females & Cow/Calf Pairs, Fancy Open Heifers, & Genetic Lots!

Another year flies by…just glad that they keep coming. Our 26th annual sale is ready to go. When we look at all the people that have come and gone in our industry, it sure is satisfying to know we’ve stuck it out. The first purebreds were born here in 1988, so approaching 40 years in the breed. You have to believe in what you do. We honestly feel that the Simmental breed offers the most benefits across the board…bar none. We don’t need to talk about the cattle market; the profitability potential has never been at higher levels. The national cow numbers will take a few years to prop back up…align yourself and hang on for the ride! Sunday, March 15, 2026 will be a day to head to Fullerton, Nebraska. We will have bulls to fit every need, from low percentage to purebreds. Some killer prospects this year. Deep, maternal pedigrees and loads of style in the opens. Finally, the breds/ pairs are our best bunch ever. Several direct daughters of highly regarded donor cows are included…and the babies at side- they will sure speak for themselves. These heifers will know how to be cows; no feedlot time for them. They ran pasture, then cornstalks thru the early winter, with their first supplemented feed coming 3 weeks before pictures in late December. Man, they’ve blossomed, and look the part, with incredible udders and maternal instincts as a group. There are certainly a handful of future donors in the female offering. Another big family event this year as Shay and Colton got married and their family is doing well. Gage and

Madison’s daughters keep them busy. Oaklynn (4…soon to be 5) is a good big sister and sharp as a tack; her first love is all of her animals. She had a couple bottle babies this year and showed Oreo at the fair. Olivia (OJ…2) finally talks to me now after a year of silence. They both love spending time in the Ranger, and driving around seeing the baby calves. Looks like Gage is going to get his wish, as Oaklynn seems very interested in her show calves. Their Golden Daisy, and a couple cats, round out their entourage. Things have changed a bit with my kids. Tres is now at his grandma’s place in Greeley, taking care of her cows, helping with the farm and helping a couple friends at their feedlot. He still shows up here to help with the big jobs, and was still in charge of checking our 3 west pastures last summer. His assistant and roommate is his new Aussie, Doc. Doc’s a smart dude. Teagan is finishing up her third year of college in the psychology field, is on the Dean’s List, helps out part time at the bank and will start substitute teaching soon. She lives in Lincoln, and her and Carter have a fabulous, intelligent Golden puppy named Kya. Hard to believe, but our little guy Terrick is a senior…and not so little at 6’2, 225. After shoulder surgery, he’s down to just lifting weights and basketball. He’s been a 3 year varsity starter, and his Warriors are currently 18-5 and ranked 5th in state after a conference tourney runner-up finish. He prides himself on defense, but still is one of the scorers, along with being 2nd

on his team in rebounds, assists, and blocks. A conference coach told me after an earlier game this year that Terrick is the “hand that rocks the cradle” for our team. He plays tough with a very high ball IQ. His claim to fame is that he’s led the entire state of Nebraska in charges drawn the last 2 years, and looks like he has the all- time record in Nebraska history for charges drawn in a career, at 61 and counting. His goal is a return trip to Lincoln for the NSAA State Basketball tournament. He’s a Roll of Excellence student, homecoming king, involved in every activity, and an all-around great kid. All three of my kids help on the farm when needed. Our whole year on the farm culminates on March 15th. We invite you all to come take a look. The animals will be in place at our sale facility by Friday morning, but feel free to drop by the west place anytime prior to that. Bull buyers…remember volume and sale day hauling discounts, as well as our satisfaction guarantee on all animals selling. Be sure to ask about our new multi- year guarantee on bulls. We want them around for years. Please holler at Gage or myself if we can answer any questions prior to the sale. Videos will be available on both EE and DVauctions. The video auction format will be quick and efficient. One and all are welcome!

HERE’S TO A GREAT 2026!
