Las fábulas de Esopo (Aesop’s Fables) Written by Ann McGovern & illustrated by A. J. McClaskey This collection of classic stories attributed to Aesop contains 67 brief tales. Whether reading familiar stories like “The Tortoise and the Hare,” or “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” or stories that are new to them, readers can notice common themes across the various fables. Each story illustrates the end with a proverb highlighting its moral.

Animales menos vistos (Lesser Spotted Animals) Written & illustrated by Martin Brown
This unique nonfiction book introduces the numbat, zorilla común, onagro, gaur, and other creatures that don’t always get the attention they deserve. Maps highlight where different animals live, and side- by-side illustrations present helpful comparisons between the featured animals and those readers may already be familiar with.
