Michael & Breanne Sufrin CONNECTICUT A Realization That Led to Real Growth
“But our new Directors may not even have a single Marketing Executive in their organizations yet. We’re teaching them the foundational purposes of the daily activities they need to do. We’re diving into how to make effective approaches. Really, our focus is on helping them achieve 20/20 Club. “Making these changes has made a huge difference in our organization,” Breanne concludes. “It’s a major reason why we’ve seen a lot of new Directors developed in the past few months.” Indeed, since January, the Sufrins have helped multiple business builders advance through the Director ranks. They’re especially cheering on Breanne’s good friend and business partner, Senior Director 4 Kimberlee Simko, who has advanced steadily in the past months and is well on her way to Executive Director status! Recharged with the fresh energy and inspiration they took from Convention 2022, Breanne and Michael are firmly on the road to achieving their own big goals—develop more Senior Directors and advance to National Director status. Speaking of being on the road, the Sufrin family has been completely mobile for months now! They’ve been living in a class A motor home, towing a trailer that they’ve converted into an office. They’re working remotely, homeschooling their two children, and building their Melaleuca business wherever their travels take them. It’s a lifestyle and schedule they’ve all had to get used to. They’ve definitely stepped out of their comfort zone! But that has just taught Breanne and Michael more about leadership—and given them the perspective and humility to return to the basics with every family they introduce to Melaleuca. “We just met a couple yesterday,” Breanne says. “They’re really curious about what we are doing. We are going to talk with them again today—and we hope to help them enroll with Melaleuca.”
In January 2022, Breanne had an aha moment that has fundamentally changed how she coaches and mentors her team members. It came during a conversation with Coaching & Leader Development Director Greg Bean. “Greg and I started to analyze how my leadership is being passed down throughout our team,” Breanne says. “As we talked, I realized that our brand-new Directors were getting the same coaching as our Directors 3.” From the outside, that realization doesn’t seem earth shattering. But Breanne immediately saw how coaching her team this way was holding them all back. So she and Michael went to work to make the adjustment. “We started to use different types of coaching for our team members at different statuses,” Breanne says. “We have a group of Marketing Executives who have reached Director 3 status and above, and our coaching now focuses on helping them reach Senior Director. We’re teaching them how to find potential Marketing Executives among the customers they are enrolling. We’re teaching them how to develop leaders.
