For those that don’t know our family and our operation, we thought we’d take a few sentences to introduce ourselves. We are a 100% family owned and run operation. No outside help. We have some great neighbors that help with our branding and occasionally help feeding when we are on the road for rodeo. Other than that, the only people that handle these cattle year round are the four of us. Calving, breeding, doctoring, weaning, feeding, and heifer and bull development all take place on our ranch Southwest of Bayard, NE. Our cattle never leave the ranch until they are sold. They are handled by horseback and we feel their dispositions speak for themselves. As many of you know, we ran our Registered Red Angus herd in the high country of Colorado for about 15 years. Our cattle spent the summers in the mountains at nearly 10,000 feet elevation. We made the big decision to move our entire herd and genetics to Nebraska in 2024. We sure miss the mountains, but our life here in Nebraska is better than we could have ever imagined. Our kids have done amazingly well, our cattle are thriving, and we feel more than blessed to live this lifestyle in the Wildcat Hills. Many cattle producers claim that they breed cattle that will fit in any environment. Well, I can tell you that we have put this statement to a real world test. Not many can make that claim. If you choose to purchase a bull from our operation, we truly believe that you are investing in our genetics and our family. It goes well beyond the bull. Honesty, integrity, and personal relationships are the fundamentals for our business. We are not a corporate outfit, we don’t have investors, and you will not be treated as just another customer. We stand behind the bulls we offer and would love the chance to get to know your cattle and your family. Our cattle herd is expected to breed on time, calve unassisted, and raise a good, quality calf every year. We cull extremely hard based on fertility and disposition. Our females are expected to raise their own calf in a real world environment. We utilize a very strict AI protocol and we do all of our own breeding. We don’t do any embryo work so these bulls in the offering were bred and raised by their own dams out of sires of our choice. We believe they are as functional as we can possibly make them! We would love the opportunity to visit with you about your cattle needs. We welcome anyone out to our ranch to view the bulls and go through our cows and their 2026 calves before the sale. Retained Interest: Rocking R Red Angus will retain 50% semen interest in all bulls. Buyer will take full possession and full salvage value for purchased bulls. Bulls collected for A.I. use will be done at the buyer’s convenience and will take place in the non-breeding season for the buyer. Rocking R Red Angus will assume all expenses regarding the collection of semen. Supplemental Information: Scrotal Measurements and updated sale information will be provided as a supplement on sale day. This supplement will be posted to our website. DNA Testing: All animals in the offering have been DNA tested and have been successfully matched to their respective sires and dams. Guarantee: All bulls that are in the sale are guaranteed breeders for the first breeding season. If, for some reason, a breeding injury occurs and a bull is unable to breed, the buyer will either be given a replacement bull (if available) or a credit toward a bull in next year’s sale. This credit will be less the salvage value of the bull. This guarantee does not cover broken bones or death. All claims must be made within 6 months of the sale date. Liability: Anyone visiting and viewing the bulls does so at their own risk. Red Angus Guide to EPDS and Indexes
ProS ...Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).
HB .....HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability (Index/High Value).
GM..... GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the post- weaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM include Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area (Index/High Value).

She is a powerful cow that is leaving her mark on our herd. She boasts an MPPA 112. Her daughter, Rocking R Verdi L3902, is the dam to Lot 1 and has an MPPA of 102. She is hitting home runs early in her career. Trust Fund 5912N has Herd Bull written all over him. You’re not going to find better indexes in the Red Angus breed. Top 1% ProS, Top 6% HB, Top 3% GM. His Growth EPD’s are all in the Top 6% of the breed. His maternal EPD’s are really strong. His carcass EPD’s are excellent. Yet, he does all of that and still maintains low inputs. He truly does it all on paper. Wondering if his paper statistics match real world performance? He entered the world at a modest 71 lbs and was just shy of 1200 lbs by his first birthday. His weaning ratio was 106 and his yearling ratio was 114. His eye appeal is second to none. Dark Cherry Red, Stout chested, Big Butted, Broad Topped. He moves out like a herd bull should.
We should mention that his sire, LEM Stockyard 2001 ET, was the high selling bull of the Lemke Cattle bull sale in 2023. We have 2 calf crops out of him and we have been nothing but impressed.
Trust Fund 5912N does it all and we will absolutely be using him in our program going forward. We are excited for his future! We can’t wait to see his impact on the red angus breed!

Here he is. The one everyone has been talking about since he was a few weeks old. The term standout doesn’t quite do him justice. We knew he was special all year long as we rode through the pairs. Long spined, deep bodied, his stout phenotype demands attention. It was no surprise that he was the heaviest bull calf at weaning and the heaviest bull when we took yearling weights. His weaning ratio of 115 and yearling ratio of 118 are a testament to his performance traits.
He started with a 72lb birthweight and hit 1300 lbs before he turned 1 year old. His EPD’s tell the story, with Weaning and Yearling Weight EPD’s in the Top 2% of the breed. His carcass EPD’s are spectacular.
We already mentioned his dam, who is responsible for the first 2 lots in the sale. Easy fleshing, highly fertile, very docile, with an MPPA of 112 and an average calving interval of 372 days.
His sire, Berwald Confident 2044, sold to ABS for $90,000 in 2023. We have 2 calf crops from Confident, and have kept about every female we have out of that sire. We love what he brings to the table. Landman 5902N is a Herd Bull Prospect that deserves serious attention .

A Confident son that is a standout Heifer Bull. Fantastic calving ease and birthweight EPD’s. Breed him to heifers and sleep easy. Smooth made phenotype that travels out nice. Really balanced set of EPD’s that highlight his carcass strengths along with some performance stacked on top of his heifer bull excellence. His dam has an average calving interval of 362 days and is always one of the first cows to calve. Of course, she’s got another bull calf running around that I would watch for in 2027.

Heifer Bull with really good Growth EPD’s. A Stockyard son that packs a serious punch with his long spine, heavy muscle, broad shoulders, powerful hips, and huge scrotal circumference. If you’re looking for real world performance from an incredible cow and big time AI sire, Wrangler 5829N is your guy. I just can’t say enough about this bull. His dam, Rocking R Ophelia F829D, has an MPPA of 105 and an average calving interval of 369 days. She is one of my favorites. His sire, Berwald Confident 2044, needs no introduction. Scale crushing Growth EPD’s, all in the Top 2%. Weaning Ratio 106 and Yearling Ratio 112. This stud is going to make an enormous impact on his next herd. A Checkmate son that checks a lot of boxes. As you would expect, really good Growth EPD’s with WW in the Top 13%. Strong carcass with a top 5% Marbling EPD. His dam, with an MPPA of 103, is an easy fleshing, highly docile cow. She’s produced some really nice bulls in her time. Lot 3 in our 2025 sale and now Lot 7 in our 2026 sale. Two years in a row with bulls in the Top 10. That’s something she can definitely brag about.

If I had to choose a favorite cow, the dam to Lot 13 would definitely be in my Top 5. From the famous Abrigrace pedigree, she is highly maternal, very fertile, easy fleshing, and basically automatic. She has an average calving interval of 367days and has raised some of the best calves we have offered over recent years. We seem to be on a run of dark, dark cherry red bulls here. Conquest 5601N is a Checkmate son that impressed with his performance. Weaning Ratio 112 and Yearling Ratio 106. Heifer Bull and the first HRP Confidence 3012L son to sell in 2026. We bought Confidence from the Hansine Ranch bull sale in 2024. We didn’t get him with the cows until later in the 2024 breeding season so he only has 2 sons in this sale. But, we think so highly of him that we collected him and AI bred him to about 50 cows in 2025. We calved out the first cycle cows in January this year and his calves are everything we hoped for.
