&/#3&'r#3*&'4 OTTAWA MAN CHARGED IN EMBRUN On July 16 shortly before 3:15 p.m., Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a traffic complaint on Notre-Dame Street in Emb- run. During the investigation, the officer utilized the Approved Screening Device (ASD). Thirty-one-year-old Michael Zadow of Ottawa was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. He received a 90-day driver’s license suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on August 7, 2019. – Francis Racine

During his own 27 years as a fire fighter, Chief Armstrong can recall a few cases where a family pet was rescued from a burning home but died later from smoke inhala- tion. Les détaillants éventuels devront démontrer qu’ils ont acquis des locaux appropriés, qui pourront servir de magasin de vente au détail de cannabis, et qu’ils ont accès à des capitaux suffisants pour ouvrir un tel commerce. Le conseil municipal a donné le contrat au groupe de consultants PRC Solutions, qui organisera des groupes de discussion, des ateliers et des sondages. Un atelier se tiendra le 20 aout, au Centre communautaire de Saint-Isidore, de 18 h 30 à 21 h. Un autre aura lieu le 21 aout, au Centre communautaire de Saint-Albert, de 18 h 30 à 21h.
